News?...

Well not much going on. It's getting warm up here in St. Louis now. Right now I'm watching Filter from G4, but it's on Techtv. They're joining networks at the end of the month. It's cool for me because I've been wanting G4 since it came out. It's a network all about video games, so what's not to love. Well from what I've seen, the hosts. They're definitely not gamers. They're pretty much representative of what some marketing executive's version of gamers. I love watching games so much I can look at the pretty graphics around them though.

The NBA conference finals are going on right now. I haven't even seen any of the Lakers/Timberwolves series. I don't have much excuse except I was busy. But I did watch a little of the first Pistons/Pacers series. It's a tight matchup. I think it'll definitely go to game 7. Matt over there thinks the western conference series is going to 7 games as well. He's rooting for the Lakers and I'm rooting for the TWolves in that one. I'm kind of rooting for the Pacers, but I find myself rooting for Detroit more when I'm actually watch the game. Matt thinks the Pacers in the east but said he wouldn't be surprised to see Detroit make it to the finals. The biggest news is that Rasheed Wallace of the Detroit Pistons guaranteed a win in game 2. While it's bulletin board material for the Pacers, I don't think it's a big deal to say that for game 2 of a 7 game series. Make that kind of statement when the series is on the line. When it's win or go home.

Hopefully I have more news for you next time...

When you know you hard up for a job...

Yesterday I got a wrong number phone call on my mobile phone.
Guy on Phone Is Wendy there?
Me No sorry you must have a wrong number.
GoP Is this xxx-xxxx?
Me Yes. Do yo have the right area code?
GoP 904?
Me Yes that's my number.
GoP Hmm she seem like a good candidate too. I got the number right off of her resume. And that was posted on the internet in September.
Me Yeah, I just got this number a couple weeks ago.
GoP I have her email address here I'll just email her.

About this time I remember this guy is in Jacksonville, since that is were my phone number is, and I'm in St. Louis.
Me Oh well I'm not actually in Jacksonville anymore, I'm in St. Louis.
GoP Oh, we don't have any offices up there.
Me That's ok, thanks. Bye.
GoP Bye.

Comment away.

Now I haven't set it up over on Matt's blog yet but now it's super easy to post comments on our posts. Maybe we can get a little interaction with our viewing audience.

So I went over to the starwars.com forums after I had my self puzzled with the force. As it turns out no one really knows. It's all speculation. Some of it's good ideas and some are just funny. Master Sifo-dias seems to be the biggest mystery though. On the forum thread titled "Who is Sifo-dias" on the starwars.com forums, there are 4700 posts on 319 pages. It's guessed that he is either Count Dokuu or Darth Sidous that just fooled the Kaminoians into thinking they were Sifo-dias. But it also could of been that Darth Sidous had Sifo-dias order the clone army and then kill him. Luckily on the audio commetary on the SW:AOTC DVD, George Lucas says all the questions about who ordered the army are going to be answered in Episode III.

Clone Conundrum?

Right now I'm reading Star Wars:Shatterpoint. It's a new clone wars novel by Matthew Stover who apparently is going to write the episode III novel as well. So far about a quarter of the way through it, it's pretty good. This lead me to watch episode II again. Which brought me to wonder what the hell is the Darth Sidous's plan?

We know 1) He via Count Dokuu/Lord Tyranus is behind the Confedaracy and the droid army. 2) He wanted the war and "everything is going as planned." 3) In the original trilogy the rebels are of the republic and the bad guys are of the emipre. In the new prequel trilogy the republic are the good guys with evil elements inside ("Sith lord controls the senate") and the bad guys are called the confederacy. 4) The Confederacy has the Death Star plans.

Then I'm thinking that 1) Of course Chancelor Palpatine is Darth Sidous. 2)What we know as the Republic becomes the Empire, because at the begining of Episode IV when Grand Mof Tarkin enters the round table meeting he says that the Emperor has obsolved the senate. That doesn't exactly mean it's the same government but it seems so. 3) The Empire is based on Coruscant. 4) The clone troopers are a pre-cursor to the storm troopers and somehow related.

Things I don't know... 1) Why would Darth Sidous want to build the clone army to fight his own droid army? 2) Is the war mearly a guise to kill all the Jedi? 3) When does the flip of names take place? Does the Confederacy take control of Coruscant while letting Palpatine stay in power and rename itself the Empire? 4) Who the hell was Master Sifodus and how was he killed?

That's what I'm wondering without getting into things that are probably answered in Episode III. So in anyone has any guesses feel free to answer over in our forum.

Tons of good info out of E3 this week. My personal favorites are as follows.

PSP The screen is huge and bright. The graphics look on par with the PS2. The lauch line-up looks like it will be great. Personally I don't know if I'm going to need a 2nd copy of Gran Turismo 4. I plan on getting it for PS2 right when it comes out and they're claiming that the PSP version is just like PS2 version.

Killzone This game looks great. I have a special place in my heart for near future science fiction, especially when you get to shoot stuff. Just that whole style is beautiful. The images I've seen so far really remind me of the Wolf Brigade suits from Jin-Roh. Some are calling this one the Halo Killer so it's got some meat to it.

Star Wars Republic Commando There were some new videos out for this game at E3. It looks good. Think Metroid Prime in a squad and in the Star Wars universe. This is cool because no all the clones were bad shots. This special batch became the Commandos. From the looks of it, they kick ass too. Check it out.

Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed I didn't see anything new on this one but I'm still watching it. I loved X-Wing and Tie Fighter, but the monsterous delays in X-wing vs Tie Fighter completely made me lose my interst in the series but I'm back. Being in the Star Wars MMO and blasting Tie Fighters is a good idea to me. Too bad the MMO part of Galaxies sucks. I was in the beta and it's pretty boring. Hopefully if you just want to be a startfighter you don't actually have to kill butterflys or watch Wookies dance.

And there were more really cool games, but those are the ones that really got my attention. Let me know what you think over in the forum.
