ESPN.com - NBA - Rockets, Magic finalize Francis-McGrady trade!!!!!!!
Man I'm trying really really hard not to say what I really want to say right now... Oh I'm trying. Because I remember chanting "MVP! MVP!" during the 2003 playoffs. Man it was great. But right now I want to shout something else about Tmac and it's not so nice.
I admit this year was tough. Real tough. This year the one thing that got me through was the Spurs 96-97 season where they went 20-62. The next year they acquired one Tim Duncan in the draft and the next year they went on to a 56-26 record. As a diehard Magic fan I could dream. It got me through the year. Apparently Tmac didn't share my dream. No he saw the grass on the other side of the fence. Sure it looks this lovely shade of green. But lets wait and see. I'm going to try really hard not to root against the Rockets this year, but I know I will. Oh well.
Now I don't know how it's all going to fit together in Orlando either. I hope it all works and I know they're going to work hard to try to make it work too. We'll see. Till then TMAC SUCKS!

Click on the picture above to vote for the MLB All-Star game. As of today Rentaria for the Saint Louis Cardinals was only 6 votes ahead for the Shortstop position in the National League. Puljos and Rolen have their first base and third base positions locked up. But it's down to the Astros vs. Cardnials fans for SS. It's a home All-Star game for the Astros so they've been stuffing the ballot for months now. But don't let them!! For each email address you have you get 25 votes. Vroom, Vroom!
Right now I'm watching the 24 hours of Lemans. It's amazing how the drivers are pushing it on every lap of a 24 hour race. On tv they're calling it a 24 hour sprint race. I'm rooting for the 2 Corvettes in the GTS class. They're up against a fleet of Ferarris. So far one of them is 4 laps down though while the other is in the class lead. Just 23 hours to catch up.

Good ol' Jacksonville.
Serriously check out that link. Apparently a guy in Jacksonville was talking on the phone while watching someone play Grand Theft Auto. The guy that was talking on the phone started shouting "There's a bomb in the building! You have to get out!" Well it turns out he was talking to the guy playing the game in front if him. But, the person on the other end of the phone thought he was talking to him. So now the guy has been arrested on bomb threat charge. Now that's unfortunate.
Been a busy week. I traded-in my old Dreamcast, 17 games and all it's accessories. I also traded in my Neo Geo Pocket Color and the 6 games I had for that. I got $100 in store credit from GameCrazy for all of it. It's sad to see that whole collection go but now I can get new games. Close to half of the credit came from the Neo Geo and the games for it. Apparently the Dreamcast isn't as coveted. I got more for the whole lot than I think I would of gotten on ebay so that's a good deal.
What did I get with my new credit? Well I didn't want to make any rash decisions so I waited a couple days before going back to spend any of it. I ended up getting EA's MVP Baseball 2004. So far I'm 1-6. I'm kind of out of season playing console games. I need to get back in the swing of it before my skills come back. Plus it's a nice challenging game too. Not easy by any means.
Don't get the wrong idea either. I know it's easy to think, "Hey, if Ryan isn't doing well on a game, there must be something flawed with the game." It may seem like I'm the most hardcore, but alas I am not. I know without a doubt the most hardcore gamer I know would be Matt over there. I would consider myself just a gamer. I'll play anything, but I'm not hardcore. For a while I thought I wanted to be, but damn that's a commitment. You've got to work really hard to beat every game you see. And just between you and me... I haven't actually beaten that many games. I really love playing games, but when they get to a point when they feel tedious, I would rather just start playing a new game.
